Storyline:
One of my favorite movies that has a significant meaning to me is the Disney movie, Mulan. The main character, Hua Mulan is my inspiration of my styling to modern times. I have to say, this movie has a special place in my heart especially since the passing of one of the most influential people in my life, my father.
In this movie, the love that Mulan has for her father is so unreal. Their relationship reminded me so much of how my father and I were. .We can fight and disagree, but at the end he always had a something loving and encouraging to say. She was willing to sacrifice herself to honor her family as well to protect her father who was physically disabled.
She knew the risk of her decision, but she did not care as long as her father was safe. That was the greatest honor in my eyes. I can see myself in that role if that would have ever happened to my father. This legendary tale is a simple reminder on the father/daughter relationship and unconditional love that my father and I shared in this world.
PS- Daddy, I am missing you so much and you are forever in my heart. Thank you for all your sacrifices and loving me unconditionally. You are my hero.
